In late-March, Oficina Comercial de la Republica de China, Taiwan? representative office in Ecuador sent a telegraph which recounted that the GMISS donation of medical equipment to Ecuador Foundation Mosquera (Mosquera Foundation) had passed custom clearance and a donation ceremony was held on March 17th jointly hosted by Chin-Mu Wu, Taiwan representative in Ecuador, and Eduardo Mosquera, director of Ecuador Mosquera, an event attended by elites in the political, business and academic circles, celebrities, and the media.
In May, the GMISS Program also received information from Taiwan? representative office in Ecuador with regards to the donation ceremony, in which Mr. Mosquera gave special thanks to the Taiwan government for the donation of medical equipment, a contribution to improving the foundation? medical facilities which would benefit the Ecuador public. In his speech, Mr. Wu highlighted the importance of medical care, and put emphasis on Taiwan continuous efforts in contributing to the international society and bringing health to all humanity, giving examples of Taiwan frequent donations of medical equipment and medications, and how Taiwan? medical teams would travel far and wide to countries in dire need to provide relief and assistance. He also hoped this donation could inspire groups in various circles to take an active interest in the medical conditions in Ecuador. The donation won many compliments and gratitude from the guests at the ceremony.
