In early March, the GMISS program received an invitation from the Center of Daily Events of Apple Daily for an interview on the objectives of the program and its achievements to date. In the relaxed atmosphere of the interview, Mr. Yi-You Huang, director of the program, also chairman of Department of Biomedical Engineering at National Taiwan University Hospital, spoke at length about the challenges, rewards, and anecdotes in the operation of the program. It is hoped that the program, with its fundamental caring spirit and good-will of helping others, may gain more public attention, and thereby attract the participation of more benevolent individuals or groups.
