Send Love to Vietnam with NNCF and MOFA
2021-12-06
The latest wave of pandemic in Vietnam has escalated for more than six months, and stagnated economic and social development. The program collaborated with Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation (NCF) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to donate over US$40,000 of pandemic prevention products to Vietnam National Children’s Hospital and Odonto-Maxillo-Facial Hospital for their capacities. The donation included 15,000 medical face masks, 1,000 pieces of PPEs, 40 ear thermometers, and 2 air sterilizers.
The online donation ceremony was held on November 19th, 2021, and attended by program director Yi-you Huang, NCF CEO Yi-ling Chen and Consultant Rebecca Wang, Odonto-Maxillo-Facial Hospital director Nguyen Duc Minh, Vietnam National Children’s Hospital Tran Minh Dien, and Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Vietnam Counselor Jian-ming Chang.
Vietnamese recipients were grateful for the donation when hospitals were in need. This donation was another example of “Taiwan Can Help”. Since the pandemic outbreak last year, public and private sectors between Taiwan and Vietnam have established solid partnership and friendship. This collaboration with NCF donated 40 ear thermometers to Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, said program director Yi-you Huang. In the future, the program hoped to work with more medical institutions in Vietnam, and offer more medical supplies to local patients.
