Since fierce war broke out between Russia and Ukraine in late February 2022, it has caused a large number of casualties and destruction.In November 2023, Taiwanese Emergency Assistance in Zurich and Mediot Co. Ltd. jointly established "Psychiatric Hospital Assistance Proposal and Training Plan in Ukraine" to provide assistance to Dnipro Branch-Special Institution for the Provision of Psychiatric Assistance ( State Institution-Institute of Forensic Psychiatry Ministry of Health Protection of Ukraine). The planwas mainly to improve Ukrainian’s professional capabilities of medical personnel during the war andmental hospital facilities and resources,promote social construction and also thenimprove their spiritual and mental health care and community reconstruction during and after disasters.
On behalf of the plan, in November 2024, GMISS donated an ultrasound machine, anECG machine, a microscope and centrifuges. The case was received by Mr. ShieYi, Director of “Psychiatric Hospital Assistance Proposal and Training Plan in Ukraine”, and a handover ceremony was held at the GMISS warehouse.
